Jérémie Dufort
Tubist
Jérémie Dufort is a multi-talented artist. As a tubist, author, composer, and conductor, this music enthusiast performs in France and abroad. He graduated from the Conservatoire de Paris in tuba, chamber music, and jazz, and won several international soloist awards. In 2006, he was selected by Lorin Maazel to become the new solo tubist at the Valencia Opera in Spain.
Currently the solo tubist of the Garde Républicaine Orchestra and a professor at the Conservatory of Arras, Jérémie is involved in numerous creative projects. He performs as a soloist with orchestra ("GROUND" by Yann Robin, "Stations" by Eric Bourdet and Sébastien Gaudefroy, "Tubando" by Guido Zorn..), as well as in contemporary musical theater with "Opus Lunae" by Ivan Boumans and Eva Barthas. He also ventures into projects that combine improvisation, jazz, singing, or world music (DUMKA, Free Spirit Ensemble with Ibrahim Maalouf, the Mirifique Orchestra of Alban Darche). He is passionate about chamber music with the Paris Brass Quintet and the trio Youkali.
As the author of several musical shows for young audiences and composer of several works for wind orchestras, brass ensembles, and Mudanzas, a suite of dances for tuba and string orchestra created with the Garde Républicaine in 2016, Jérémie is dedicated to promoting the values he received in his childhood and directs the Lille-Fives Wind Orchestra.
